Keep Them Healthy!
Influenza can be a serious disease for children of all ages, causing them to miss school, activities, and even be hospitalized. Rates of flu infection are highest among children. The CDC (Center for Disease Control) now recommends flu vaccination for all children ages 6 months through 18 years. Getting your kids vaccinated will not only protect them but will help prevent them from spreading the flu to infants, siblings, grandparents, and other family members.
Please consider vaccinating your children against the flu!
Contact your primary care physician or bring your family to one of the flu shot clinics sponsored by the Southwest Utah Public Health Department:
Call 586-2437 for more information or visit www.swuhealth.org You can also protect children against the flu by teaching them to:
Stay away from people who are sick
Wash hands often!
Keep hands away from face
Cover coughs and sneezes (into the arm or a tissue) to protect others
