2011-2012 Yearbook

Parents -

Get your pictures in the yearbook! The Yearbook Staff invites students and

parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you've got great photos of school

and community events or you and your friends just having fun, we'd like to see

them. Our photographers can't be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as

possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.

Here is how you can submit photos online:
• Go to: https://images.memoryebooks.com/login
• If it does not automatically log you into the site,

enter username: 400134871

and password:IronSprings
• Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload.
• Enter information about the photo and provide contact information in case the

staff needs additional information.
• Click "Save Details".

It's that easy! Submit your photos today!

The last day to submit photos is 02/20/2012.

Halloween Carnival

This Friday, October 28th is the Halloween Carnival!

5:00 - 8:00 pm

We have lots of fun stuff planned - games, prizes, dancing and food!

We are also having a silent auction for the basket each class put together.

Punch Cards for the games and food are being sold before

and after school by the office. Each game will have a

sign indicating the number of punches required.

Punch Cards come in the following amounts:

12 punches for $3

20 punches for $5

40 punches for $10

Money and punch cards will be accepted at the food table.

Caricatures are available this year at a cost of $5

No punch cards because of the number of punches it would take.

New T-Shirts!!

Hey all! We've got new Iron Springs T-Shirts! They are hanging up in the office windows to preview, then we'll be start selling them next week at the Book Fair! Pics will be coming soon of the them!

Tell everyone to come come come to the Book Fair! It's really set up well this year! Lots of books and sales!!

And we still need volunteers to help with the Book Fair! So please let us know if you can!

Book Fair!

Hey everyone, the Book Fair is next week!! So, after you're done with your child's SEP head on over! It will be in the library this year! Also, if anyone would like to help with helping us with it, we'd greatly appreciate it! Just comment and tell me what day you could help! Our main concern is after school until about 5pm everyday. Thanks guys!!

Also, Picture Make-up day is on Oct 6!

We Need You!

Here's a call to all parents, relatives, friends and neighbors with students at Iron Springs Elementary! We need your help! We have so many exciting fund-raisers coming up to raise money for the school and the Smart Boards for each classroom!! We need help with these fund-raisers; people who can volunteer their time to put them on! If you would like to volunteer or become a PTA member, post a comment or contact any of the board!! D.A.R.E. Graduation and Talent Night

The 5th grade D.A.R.E. Graduation will be held Tuesday April 12th at 2:15 in the gym. Congratulations to all D.A.R.E. Graduates!

Iron Springs Talent Night is Wednesday, April 13th at 5 PM in the gym. We are excited to see all the wonderful talent our school has to offer!

Spring Meeting

Don't forget the Spring General Meeting this Thursday, April,7 at 6:00 p.m.! This will be a short meeting. We will be drawing for our Disneyland Tickets and introducing our 2011-2012 PTA board!! You must be present to win the Disneyland tickets. If you are a member of the PTA, have volunteered at a PTA function or attended a PTA meeeting you will have tickets in the drawing.
Thanks for all your help and support this year. Our parents and teachers are the best!

PTA Meeting!

This week we are collecting canned and boxed food for Care and Share. If you would like to donate, please put all your canned/boxed goods in the barrel in front of the office. Thank you!!

November 8th-12th

Our fundraiser is in full swing! Just a reminder- In order to get credit for online orders you need to get the buyers confirmation # and the # of items they bought. Put this info. on the order form along with your other orders. Also, checks should be made payable to Iron Springs PTA.

Reflections were due Monday and we received some neat projects! Thanks Iron Springs students for all your hard work! They will be judged this week.

November 1st-5th

Thank you to everyone who helped with our halloween carnival! It was such a fun and successful night! Big thanks to Felicity Lemmon for chairing this event and Paul and Dana Hutchings for co-chairing!

On Wednesday November 3rd we are having an assembly to kick off our fundraiser. It will be held at 1:00 if any of you are interested in coming. Steve Conger from Cherrydale fundraising will be here to explain everything about this fundraiser. Your child will also be coming home with a packet of information.

PTA MEETING this Thursday at 4:00. If you attend you get to put your name in for 4 free Disneyland tickets!

DON'T FORGET!! Reflections projects are due Monday, November 8th! If you need any info you can pick it up at the front office.

Halloween Carnival!

We hope to see all of you at the 2nd annual Iron Springs Halloween Carnival! It runs from 5PM-8PM on Friday Oct. 29. Come join us for fun games, a haunted house, fortune teller, Monster Mash and much more! We will be giving away our 9 day Mexican Riviera Cruise for two so come get your raffle tickets! We would love to see you in your costumes but please NO MASKS or faces painted.

If you would like to compete in the pumpkin carving contest bring your pumpkin to the office Friday morning!

Tomorrow is our first PTA meeting of the year! 4:00 at the school. We will be discussing our goals for the year, membership activities, box tops contests and MORE! We need your ideas! Join us if you can! Don't forget you get to put your name into the Disneyland raffle for coming to a meeting!
